Description

Rhododendron roxieanum var. cucullatum JN#12301 This is the typically wider-leafed form of this variable species, with the leaves on very short petioles. The leaves are glossy above with a thick rust-brown indumentum beneath. A very slow-growing and compact species and one of the finest foliage plants in the genus. These are grown from seed collected in the wild and represent the first reintroduction of this variety from its type location.
