Rhododendron Glendoick Vanilla’ Another new hybrid from Glendoick, this is a selection from the cross (degronianum ssp. yakushimanum x hemsleyanum). It is a larger growing “yak” hybrid due to its hemsleyanum heritage but still a relatively dense and compact grower with outstanding, handsome foliage as would be expected from two such beautiful parents. The stunning flowers are pure white and vanilla-scented, appearing in early summer – a real treat after the rush of spring. (-5R14)
