Description
A dwarf (to 1′) shrub with bright true yellow flowers, rare in evergreen rhododendron, that crowd the plant obscuring the foliage below in spring. The leaves are small and leathery, covered in small scales and dark green but turning bronze-red in the winter. Requires excellent drainage and plenty of sunlight. A cross of R. rupicola var. chryseum and R. ludlowii hybridized by Peter Cox. A beautiful little plant perfect for a rock garden.
