Description
Though it features fiery flowers and fall foliage, there is no fear of this plant blowing its top. A deciduous azalea growing 4-6′ tall, deep red flower buds held over winter open in May to rose-pink flowers with a remarkable yellow-orange marking on the upper petal. The flowers are large, showy, and fragrant. Leaves turn yellow-orange in fall given plenty of sunlight. A beautiful plant. Full to part sun, even moisture, and well-drained acidic soil.
