Description

Hedychium densiflorum A stunning ginger-lily with a seven-inch long terminal raceme of fragrant deep orange “orchid-like” flowers in late summer. A bold foliage plant that will reach three or more feet in height. This is one of the hardiest species, we have large colonies scattered among the big-leaved rhododendrons that have sailed through the past few severe winters with no damage. These are grown from seed collected from plants grown from a wild collection in the eastern Himalaya (KCSH#0386). Very uniform and beautiful deep orange flowers in dense inflorescences. A great companion to rhododendrons. Sun or light shade. (0) RSBG
