Ole Jonny Larsen, a teacher in a Norwegian state school teaching language, literature, and history, is also an addicted collector of plants who particularily favors Rhododendron species. He has one of Norway’s biggest private collections of the genus. He has written many articles in the Norwegian, the Danish, and a Swedish Rhododendron magazine, as well as other horticultural publications. He has recently written an article for Rhododendron, Magnolia, and Camellia Group of the Royal Horticultural Society in England to be published in the 2009 year book (“Growing Magnolias in cold climates”). He is a European member of the ARS seed exchange committee and the Rhododendron Species Foundation. Even if you cannot read his articles (written in Norwegian), his photos are well worth the visit to his site.
