Ericaceae of the Pacific Northwest: Rhododendron and close relatives from Alaska to Northern California
Join the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s Horticulturist and Assistant Curator, Will Clausen, for this captivating tour of the striking plants from Ericaceae that he has seen and photographed over the past 14 years living in the region. He will also offer tips on differentiating difficult species, share interesting facts about the plants, and give ideas on where to see them for yourself.

Will has worked as a field botanist, habitat conservationist, and horticulturist across the northern part of the United States. Outside work, he enjoys photographing and writing about wild plants and backpacking to see them in their natural settings.

- Closer to the date of the lecture, you will receive an email from RSBG staff with a link to the scheduled lecture and further instruction.
- Please note that you do not need a Zoom account to attend the lecture. However, you will be required to download Zoom software on your device. There are two ways to do this:
Visit Zoom.us and find the “RESOURCES” drop down menu at the very top of the webpage. Hover your mouse over the arrow next to “RESOURCES” and select “Download Zoom Client” from the drop-down menu. On this page, select the first download button labeled “Zoom Client for Meetings.”

- Click on the lecture link, which will be sent to you via email. The link will prompt you to download the software.
- You do not need a webcam or a microphone to participate, however, you will need a device with speakers to hear the lecture.
- All Zoom registrants will be muted during the lecture. We will take questions in the chat functions and answer them in a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
