Description

Rhododendron sanguineum ssp. didymum DGEY#043 This distinct subspecies features remarkably dark crimson bell-shaped flowers in early summer. The striking flowers appear almost black, especially in bud, they are so dark. A compact growing, dwarf evergreen shrub with shiny foliage and somewhat bristly growth. Uniquely colored flowers, this is rarely offered. Requires excellent drainage and some shade during the hottest part of the day.
