Description

burnum orientale An easily grown, large deciduous shrub for sun or light shade. This species is a close relative of the native American “Cranberry Bush Viburnum ” with similar shaped leaves and similar white flowers and red fruits. An all-around extremely ornamental plant for full sun or the woodland garden, easily grown under most conditions as long as you have decent drainage. Rarely seen in cultivation and even more rarely offered for sale, this form has spectacular displays of bright red fruits in autumn. The original plants were collected wild in the Caucasus Mts.
