Description
hodoleia parvipetala DJHV#8184 This is a rarely cultivated broadleaf evergreen tree in the Witch Hazel family (Hamamelidaceae) and has unusual but quite beautiful flowers like most members of this interesting family. The glossy evergreen leaves are rounded in shape with a glaucous white undersurface. The flowers hang from the leaf axils in the spring and appear as hanging bells of pink to red with fringed petals, quite striking and showy. Best in sun or light shade with summer irrigation and good drainage. Our first offering of this unusual genus. (+5?) RSBG
