Description
Rhododendron tephropeplum BASE# A dwarf mounding species with dark green scaly leaves, smooth and peeling brown bark and masses of purplish to rose or pink flowers. The new growth emerges a striking deep rose-purple with silvery scales. A beautiful species for sun or light shade with very attractive foliage, bark and flowers. This form, collected on the Yunnan/Myanmar frontier, is the finest in our collection in my opinion. It features very dark foliage and flowers compared to the other forms we are currently cultivating. One of my favorites. Our first offering of this fine clone. (+5\R2\3) RSBG#2013/334 Large plants for
