Description
Rhododendron leptocladon PZVN#13-075 A newly introduced species. This forms an upright to fairly compact growing evergreen shrub. The large funnel-shaped flowers are rather unusual for this group in that the bright greenish-yellow color of the emerging flowers matures into a rich shade of butter-yellow as they age. Very beautifully and distinctly colored flowers. Easy with good drainage and quite hardy for a Maddenia. We have had this species outside for many years at the RSBG. (+5R25) RSBG#168sd2014
