Description

Rhododendron haematodes ssp. haematodes Dense and compact evergreen shrubs with densely tomentose young shoots. A free-blooming and easily grown species with attractive foliage and flowers. The leaves have a thick rufous indumentum on the underside. The bell-shaped flowers (late spring) are scarlet to crimson. (-5\R1\3) RSBG
