Description
Rhododendron fastigiatum ‘Indigo Steel’ C&H# Dwarf and compact evergreen shrubs, often prostrate in habit, with tiny, blue-green, scaly leaves. Similar to the closely related impeditum but with glaucous blue-green foliage compared to the deep green of the latter species. Very floriferous, the flowers cover the plant in mid-spring. From wild collected seed, this clone was selected at Glendoick for its striking blue-green foliage and dark blue-purple flowers. (-10\R1\1) RSBG#2013/246
