Description

Rhododendron brevinerve CDHM#14627 The first introduction into cultivation of this irroratum relative. This is a smaller-growing species than the more familiar irroratum with flowers in early spring that are quite distinct from its relatives. The flowers are very open-funnel shaped (almost flat) with a whitish base flushed purple on the lobes, very attractive and different. Our first offering, these are grown from seed collected in the wild. These have already started flowering at their very young age so it seems to be a very precocious species.
