Description
A stunning perennial for texture and color that will blow you away in the fall. Growing 2 to 3 feet high and wide, the extremely fine textured foliage gives the plant an ethereal air. In late spring, powdery blue star-shaped flowers, small but numerous, appear. In the fall, the whole plant takes on a bright yellow color that is breathtaking and unlike anything else. Best planted in drifts, but even singly they are great. Best in full to part sun with average moisture. Southern US native. Perennial Plant Association's 2011 Perennial Plant of the Year.
