Description
Rhododendron ___ veitchianum C#9001 Large and vigorous evergreen shrubs with smooth and shiny reddish brown bark. The large fragrant flowers are white, often with a yellow blotch and typically with frilled or wavy lobes. Quite variable in terms of blooming season and requiring excellent drainage. Native to S Burma, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam where it occurs from 3,000 to 8,000 ft. as an epiphyte, on rocks and cliffs or in dry evergreen forests. These are cutting-grown from a plant raised from seed collected wild in SE Asia by Kenneth Cox. ((+25R26) RSBG#2002/012 $12.00-B
