Description
Magnolia delavayi CCHH#8026; A very rarely seen or offered species magnolia with large evergreen leaves and fragrant white flowers. The plant overall has the appearance of some forms of Magnolia grandiflora but with less spectacular flowers and not as cold hardy as that well known species. The flowers of this species tend to open in the evening and do not last more than a day or two, but this is a great foliage plant. A rare chance to have a very spectacular plant. Forms a large tree to 40 ft. or so in mild climates. Our first offering of this rarely cultivated species.
