Description
Rhododendron groenlandicum The common and widespread native "Ledum" of northern North America. This species is found in bogs and wet forests where it forms a dense dwarfish evergreen shrub with the stems and narrow leaves covered with long red-brown hairs. The small white flowers are borne in dense rounded heads looking like golf balls when in full bloom. Grown from seed collected in the wild right here in western Washington.
