Rhododendron anthopogon ssp. anthopogon NAPE#140 Small compact evergreen shrubs with aromatic scaly leaves typically gold or silver-brown in color. The small daphne-like flowers (mid-to late spring) have a "tissue-paper" texture. An alpine requiring excellent drainage, this is a choice species for the rock garden or other sunny location.
