Rhododendron Subsection Maddenia (species nova? or lyi affinity?) TH#5083 An as yet un-identified species from a poorly explored region. Large white and probably fragrant flowers and hairy foliage. Smooth and peeling bark. Most of the Rhododendron species from this new region are turning out to be substantially hardier than expected. (+5?\R1\4) RSBG#153sd2017
