Description
Rhododendron virgatum GR#0871 Low mounding evergreen shrubs with small lanceolate leaves. The funnel-shaped flowers are pink to deep pink (sometimes white) in mid-spring. A rarely offered but floriferous and drought tolerant species for sun or shade. Known to bloom as a one-year old plant. Quite common in the eastern Himalayas, these are grown from seed collected in the wild. (+10\R1\3) RSBG#158sd2008
