Description

The absolute largest leaf you can find in a garden. Each leaf can span 6-8 feet, while the plant can reach 10 feet tall and 15 feet across. Give this plant plenty of room to grow, and for the largest and most luxuriant leaves, plant in rich, consistently moist soil with part shade. Red-green flowers on club-like spikes are really interesting but clearly overshadowed. Leaves will fade away in the fall and new ones will emerge again in the spring. Cover the crown with organic matter in winter to protect from the cold.
