Description
A large white-flowered trillium native to the woodland of the east and Midwest, and well suited to woodland gardens elsewhere. A whorl of three large green leaves are found near the top of a 1-1.5' stem. Just above the leaves is the showy flower (up to 4" across) of three ruffled white petals backed by three smaller and narrower green sepals. Over time, the white petals turn slightly rose-pink. Trillium are staple spring bloomers of a woodland garden and this is a very showy species. Full to part shade, average moisture and rich soil.
