Description

A very compact (2-3′) evergreen rhododendron that is ideal for small gardens or in a featured location. The flowers emerge from dark pink buds in spring and open light pink to white with dark pink edges. The leaves are covered with silvery indumentum below while new growth also has a thick covering of white hairs on the tops of the leaves. A really stunning little cross of R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum ‘Koichiro Wada’ and R. ‘Medusa’. Full to part sun. Best with afternoon shade, even moisture, and well-drained acidic soil.
