Rhododendron cavaleriei CGG#14136 Our first offering of this species which is a member of Section Choniastrum which includes widespread but rarely grown species such as latoucheae, moulmainense and championae. This has typical Choniastrum smooth and glossy foliage with a many-flowered truss of white to white flushed rose flowers in mid-spring. Should have some hardiness but still too new to say for certain. From seed collected in the wild. (+10?\R1\6) RSBG#183sd2010
