Description
Rhododendron maddenii ssp. crassum (Chapaense Group) DJHMV#8146 Fragrant, large trumpet-shaped white flowers in early summer and shiny foliage with a robust growth habit. This form has very thick and glossy foliage and a strong yellow-orange blotch in the throat of the flower. The hardiest form of the species that I have seen and among the best for foliage. Nice large plants. (+5\R2\8) RSBG#223sd2008
