Rhododendron irroratum ssp. yiliangense (formerly Ningyuenense Group) SEH#143 This newly named subspecies (see Rhododendrons with Camellias and Magnolias 2005 pgs. 32-33) of irroratum has yellow to cream-yellow flowers. These richly colored flowers are often spotted and have a heavy substance, holding their color over a long period in mid-spring. Very vigorous and should be quite tolerant of heat and sun.
