Description

Rhododendron bureavioides affinity (or species nova?) JN# Newly introduced from a newly explored region of the Sino-Himalaya. As seen in the wild, these were stunning foliage plants - very similar to the obviously closely related species bureavii and bureavioides but lacking the thick indumentum on the lower leaf surface. A very uniform population on a single mountain (but literally thousands of plants - it was the dominant species). Very beautiful glossy foliage. Probably pink to white flowers in mid-spring. NOTE Sold last year under the name bureavii affinity. (-10\R1\4) RSBG#115sd2009
