DESCRIPTION:Storytime in the Garden\n\n Join us for Storytime in the G
 arden\, a new nature-focused program for preschool-aged children and t
 heir caregivers at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden.\n\nEach 
 30-minute session combines an engaging children’s book with songs\, mo
 vement\, and a simple nature activity or exploration in the Garden. St
 orytime is designed to help young children and their families connect 
 what they hear in a story with the plants\, nature\, and discoveries a
 round them.\n\nThe Garden is an essential part of the experience. Each
  session encourages children and caregivers to connect the story with 
 what they can observe and discover together.\n\nRead it. Explore it. D
 iscover it.\n\nFall 2026 Pilot Dates :    Wednesdays at 10:30 AM\n\n 	
 September 16\n 	September 23\n 	September 30\n 	October 7\n 	October 1
 4\n\nStorytime will be held at the Garden Gazebo\, with the Rutherford
  Conservatory serving as a weather backup. Both locations are accessib
 le via the ADA path and have space for stroller parking.\n\nThe progra
 m is designed for preschool-aged children\, approximately ages 2–5\, a
 ccompanied by a parent or caregiver. Children must be accompanied by a
 n adult. Storytime is not a drop-off program.\n\n No registration is r
 equired. Families are welcome to attend on a drop-in basis.\n\nThe fir
 st Storytime on Wednesday\, September 16\, includes free Garden admiss
 ion for Storytime families. Beginning with the second session\, regula
 r Garden admission applies for caregivers and parents\, with no additi
 onal Storytime fee.\n\nFamilies are encouraged to stay and explore the
  Garden after Storytime\, continuing the experience together through o
 bservation\, discovery\, and play.
