DESCRIPTION:The mystical Himalayan blue poppy\, Meconopsis\, will grac
 e us with its ethereal beauty once again at the Rhododendron Species B
 otanical Garden. Come celebrate these fabulous flowers Saturday\, May 
 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy a feast for your eyes. Walk throug
 h a meadow glowing with blooming blue poppies or stroll along the ADA 
 accessible path through the blue poppy glade. The RSBG nursery will be
  stocked with a stunning selection of plants for sale\, including Meco
 nopsis (blue poppies).\n\nADMISSION\n$10 - General admission\n$7 - Sen

 ramics inspired by the beauty and magic of Western Washington. Delicat
 ely handcrafted cups\, bowls\, mugs\, travel tumblers\, spoon rests\, 
 planters\, and more. Each piece is 100% unique\, and made by hand in G
 ig Harbor\, Washington.\n\nJody Deam: Five years ago\, Jody came acros
 s plaster casting flowers as a craft and fell in love with this unique
  way of preserving plants from the garden\, nature walks and other fou
 nd objects. Her botanical tiles are handmade by pressing fresh and som
 etimes dried flowers into clay and pouring a plaster casting of the fl
 owers. She uses flowers and plants from her garden and walks around th
 e neighborhood. Jody also gets inspiration from the produce isle in th
 e local grocery store\, veggie garden or nearby nurseries and farms. J
 ody also teaches classes.\n\nMaster Gardeners of King County: The King
  County Master Gardener program\, an extension of Washington State Uni
 versity\, provides a multitude of resources for home gardeners. Garden
 ing information is available to the public and is research-based and f
 ocused on environmentally friendly and sustainable gardening practices
 .\n\nStay tuned as more vendors are being added soon!\n\n\n\nCALL FOR 
 VOLUNTEERS!\nWe're looking for friendly\, plant loving people to volun
 teer in the Visitor Center for an hour to help hand out maps\, tally p
 lants\, and general visitor direction and guidance. We have several sl
 ots available. The Visitor Center is open from 10 am-4 pm and we're ho
 ping to fill every hour with a knowledgeable and friendly plant person
  to help ensure visitors have an amazing experience at the garden. Vol
 unteers will receive a free day pass to attend Blue Poppy Day (which t
 hey can participate in before and/or after their shift in the Visitor 
 Center). Volunteers must commit to coming to the garden for orientatio
 n the morning of event day between 8-9 AM or any time between now and
