Fall for Ferns during the weeklong Foliage Festival at the RSBG!

Discover the fascinating world of ferns growing in the RSBG’s woodland gardens and the Hardy Fern Foundation’s Victorian Stumpery.

A great collection of rarely offered ferns will be available for purchase. Discover a new treasure for your landscape!

1:00 pm Presentation: Jo Laskowski, Curator of the Hardy Fern Foundation will give an illustrated talk, sharing favorites for performance, foliage and flair. Using fronds and plants from the Hardy Fern Foundation’s extensive collection you will see some of the best for our climate and learn  how to grow them to perfection.

Former ISA arborist Jo Laskowski made a smooth transition to Hardy Fern Foundation Curator in 2013. The life-long Seattle area resident now focuses on the study, propagation, and dissemination of hardy ferns. In the process of de-constructing a fern for you she may show you a thing or two about ferns that you never knew!

1 pm: Pacific Bonsai Museum tour

2:00 pm-  Join a Fern Tour with Jo Laskowski, Curator of the Hardy Fern Foundation, for an insider’s look at the world of ferns growing in the Garden, including the Victorian Stumpery.
